Marshmallow Recipes - Cereal S'More Bars
Prep time 15 minutes (ready in 45 minutes)
3 cups chocolate puffed cereal
3 cups graham cereal
1 cup peanuts
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 (10-1/2oz) bag Campfire Miniature Marshmallows
2 tablespoons milk

Spray bottom and sides of 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray or grease with shortening. In large bowl, mix both cereals and peanuts.

In 3-quart saucepan, heat peanut butter, marshmallows and milk over low heat, stirring occasionally, until peanut butter and marshmallows are melted and mixture is smooth.

Poor peanut butter mixture over cereal mixture, stir to coat well. Press mixture in greased pan. Cool at least 30 minutes before serving. Cut into bars.

Marshmallow Recipes - Classic Marshmallow Cereal Squares
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine
6 cups or 1 pkg. (10-1/2oz) Campfire Miniature Marshmallows
1 pkg. (12-1/2 to 13oz) Cereal of your choice. (fruit flavored rice cereal, chocolate purred rice cereal, chocolate rice cereal, sugar frosted corn flakes, corn flakes.)

Line 13x9-inc pan with foil; lightly grease foil.

Microwave butter in 4-quart microwavable bowl on high 45 seconds or until melted. Add marshmallows, mix to coat. Microwave 1-1/2 minutes or until marshmallows are melted and smooth, stirring after 45 seconds. Add cereal; mix to coat well.

Press firmly into prepared pan. Cool, cut into squares. Store in airtight container.

Marshmallow Recipes - Crispy Peanut Butter Marshmallow Squares
6 cups crisp rice cereal
1 cup raisins
1 cup unsalted peanuts
1 cup unsalted sunflower seeds
3/4 cup smooth peanut butter(see tip)
1/2 cup butter at room temperature
1 pkg. of regular sized or Miniature Campfire Marshmallows
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract

In large bowl stir together cereal, raisins, peanuts and sunflower seeds until combined; set aside. In heavy 5-quart pot, combine peanut butter and butter. Place over low to medium-low heat and stir until melted and well blended. Add marshmallows and slat; stir until melted and well blended. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Immediately add cereal mixture and quickly stir until cereal is well coated.

Using lightly buttered spatula, quickly spread mixture evenly and firmly in greased 113x9-inch baking pan. Let stand in pan on rack until completely cool. (Make ahead: cover pan with foil and store at room temperature for up to 3 days.) Cut into squares.
Makes 24 (about 2x2 inches) squares

Approximate nutritional analysis for each square: 254 calories, 5.7 g protein., 14.1 g fat, 29.5 g carbohydrate.

Microwave variation: In large microwavable bowl (at least 16 cups) microwave peanut butter, butter marshmallows and salt on high for about 2 minutes and 45 seconds or until melted, stirring well every minute. Remove bowl from microwave oven and stir until smooth. Stir in vanilla. Immediately stir in cereal mixture and quickly stir until well coated. Spread in greased baking pan.

Tip: Use homogenized rather than natural peanut butter, which has a layer of oil on top.

Marshmallow Recipes - Holiday Marshmallow Treats Cut Outs
These are a fun and versatile treat for any holiday...Halloween, Easter, Christmas, Thankgiving, Valentine's Day, or 4th of July.

Prep: 20 minutes plus standing
Cook: 10 minutes
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 pkg. (10oz) Campfire Marshmallows or 1 pkg. (10.5oz.) Campfire Miniature Marshmallows
6 cups of crisp rice cereal
Your favorite holiday cutouts
Various Decorations: icing, candies, sprinkles, popsicle sticks

Melt butter in large saucepan on low heat. Add marshmallows, cook until melted and mixture is smooth stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add cereal immediately mix lightly until well coated, press into greased 15x10x1-inch pan. Cool completely.
Makes 12 servings.

To use your microwave: Place butter in large microwavabe bowl. Microwave on high 45 seconds or until melted. Add marshmallows and toss to coat. Microwave 1-1/2 minutes or until melted and mixture is smooth. Stir after 45 seconds. Add cereal immediately mix lightly until well coated, press into greased 15x10x1-inch pan. Cool completely.

Here's where the fun begins. Take your favorite holiday shape, grease with margarine r cooking spray, and cut out the marshmallow treats. Decorate cut-outs with icings, candies, and sprinkles and ready to serve frosting.

You can also insert wooden popsickle sticks to make your cutout more festive and convenient.

4th of July: use a star cutout and decorate with red, white, and blue icing and sprinkles.

Valentine's Day: use a heart cutout and decorate with red and pink icing and sprinkles.

Halloween: make ghosts, goblins, monsters and witches with orange and black icing and sprinkles.

Easter: make bunnies and egg shaped treats with pastel collored decorations.

Christmas: use star, Christmas tree, santa, reindeer, snowman and bell cutouts and decorate with green and red icing and sprinkles.
In place of regular crisp rice cereal, replace with fruit flavored crisp rice cereal.


How about making a snow man from your crisp rice treats. It's easy to do. Shape your treat using wet or greased hands into various sized balls and place a smaller ball on top of a larger ball to create a snowman. Use candy decorations and icing to make a face, or use a regular sized Campfire Marshmallow as a hat. Be creative and have fun!!!

Marshmallow Recipes - Monkey Cereal Bars
Prep time: 15 minutes (ready in 45 minutes)
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
1/4 cup flaked coconut
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 pkg. (10oz) Campfire Marshmallows
2 Tbsp unsweetened baking cocoa
6 cups chocolate puffs cereal
1 cup coarsely crushed dried banana chips

Heat over not 305°F. Spray 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray. On ungreased cookie sheet with sides, bake walnuts at 350°f. for 5 minutes

Remove cookie sheet from oven. Stir coconut into walnuts. Return to oven bake an additional 4 to 6 minutes or until coconut is light golden brown. stirring twice during baking. Set aside to cool.

In 4-quart saucepan or Dutch oven, melt butter over medium heat. Add marshmallows, cook 4 to 6 minutes, stirring constantly, until melted. Stir in cocoa until well blended. Remove from heat.

Stir in cereal, banana chips, toasted walnuts and coconut, until evenly coated, pour into sprayed pan. Spread mixture evenly pressing down slightly. Cool 30 minutes. Cut into 12 bars.
